2016 Caverio Founder's Collection

Grenache for length, Syrah for richness, and Mourvèdre for depth follow Old World Southern Rhône but taken to new heights with expressive New World Paso Robles signatures. The 2016 Caverio is a classic cuvée in a region redefining the GSM model through complex contours at the approach, mid-palate, and finish of the profile. Lavender and sage on the nose are followed by plenty of strawberries, cherries, and red currants in the interim. Accents of espresso, cedar, and clay pot begin to appear as pliable tannins and steady acidity underscore the profile. Hints of black pepper and black tea appear on the prolonged and composed finish.
