2016 Windemere Pinot Noir, Aubaine Vineyard
This Pinot is not to be messed with, dark notes of lush strawberry, dark cherries and ripe cranberry welcome you to investigate formore. Spice notes linger in the background, including clove and cinnamon. The palate opens with concentrated Pinot Noir character, while cranberry driven acid leads to an ever so elegant tannin structure on the mid palate. This Pinot finishes bright, with hints of craisins and chocolate, enjoy!

Winemaker Notes
The fruit was sourced from the Aubaine Vineyard in Arroyo Grande. After harvest, the fruit was sorted and gently destemmed into small 1.5 ton fermenters. After a 2-3 day cold soak the fermentation began natively. At around 0 Brix the free run was drained and the must gently pressed directly to barrel where it underwent Malo-lactic fermentation. The wine aged for 9 months in 50% new French oak.
