2017 Night Watch Proprietary Red
Components of a blend that work in harmony can achieve resonance. Case in point is the 2017 Night Watch. Layered with blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries on the approach along with hibiscus and mesquite on the nose. Rounded tannins and ample acidity stretch the fruit-forward profile to a velvety and cresting mouthfeel. Hints of licorice and black tea appear on the integrated finish.

Winemaker Notes
Hand picked fruit from our family owned, RBZ vineyard in the El Pomar sub AVA, this 2017 Nightwatch showcases the beauty of Paso Robles Zinfandel blends. After primary fermentation, this wine is put through 100% malolactic fermentation and aged over 20 months in 40% new French, Hungariana and American oak. A backbone of Zinfandel is heightened by blending in Syrah and Petite Sirah to make a robust and lush wine.
