Exemplifying structure, depth, and body, the Sextant Wines Passage shows the diversity that Paso Robles can produce. It’s clean and crafted from New World techniques but never too far from Old World traditions. Plum, blueberry, fresh honey and caramel notes combine with blackberry, maraschino cherry and vanilla. The tannins are supple while bright acidity accentuates the tune. The finish is well composed, a persistent sensory experience. 401 cases produced.

Winemaker Notes
Passage serves as a beautiful Syrah based blend between our Caverio and Portolan blends. Some of the finest Syrah that is hand picked off of our RBZ Vineyard is the backbone to this bold blend. Grenache and Mourvèdre are added for complexity on the nose while Petite Sirah helps build tannin. Aged for 20 months in new French and Hungarian oak this wine is bottle aged for a year before its release so its ready to go as soon as its in your hands!
