2017 Petite Sirah, Shell Creek Vineyard
Friends familiar with the Sextant Petite Sirah can’t help but exchange tasting impressions. That for the 2017 vintage, blueberries and boysenberries are center stage while dark plums and blackberries provide supporting roles. That plush texture beguiles the palate as grippy tannins combine with balanced acidity. That spicy white pepper mix with rustic briary, black tea, and dark chocolate in the savory finish. With more pours, more toasts, and more sips, the tasting impressions may eventually subside but the conversation and friendship will be ongoing.
This vintage is sold out.
