Complexity without complication. The Sextant Wines 2018 Kamal brings our vineyard to your glass. It features range and depth, flowing with vine ripe strawberries and muddled rose petals. Hints of cedar and cigar box wood bring lifted layers. An inviting scuffle of dark plum, black currants and traces of granite like minerality join the gentle fray. The crushed-velvet tannins are well structured and give way to a long finish.

Winemaker Notes
Kamal has quickly become one of the most popular wines at Sextant. 100% of the fruit that goes into this Cabernet Sauvignon is hand picked off our vineyard in the El Pomar sub AVA of Paso Robles. Small Cabernet berries help lend natural dark color during primary fermentation. After fermentation the different Cabernet blocks are placed in a variety of new and used French oak and aged for 18 months.
