2018 X-Series Caladoc
Unique on their own, Grenache and Malbec are married in the nursery to create Caladoc. Hints of potpourri and fresh potting soil highlight the earthiness of this varietal, as notes of red plum and cranberry begin to open up as well. A chalky, flint like tannin structure forms on the front palate, and slowly builds to flavors of blueberry jam and ripe fig.

Winemaker Notes
Caldoc is an excting cross breed of Grenache and Malbec that we grow in our RBZ Vineyard. Hand picked fruit is destemmed at the winery and fermented in one small bath before being put down to a variety of new and used French and Hungarian oak. 18 months of barrel aging helps the elegant Grenache nose and vibrant structural backbone that the Malbec provides come together to make this years Caladoc.
