Winemaker Notes
Sourced from our Chalk Knoll Vineyard in Monterey County, the 2020 Central Coast Zinfandel showcases the fresh fruit and acidity of a slightly cooler climate. We destemmed the fruit and fermented the juice in stainless steel before aging in a mix of French and American oak. A pop of syrah adds some darker fruit structure and bolsters the mid-palate of the wine.
