2020 Night Watch Proprietary Red Blend
Bold yet distinctly elegant, the 2020 Sextant Night Watch is an intricate and seamless composition. Aromas of black plum and dark cherry are followed with hints of clove, maple syrup, and graham cracker crust. Dark fruit compote including blackberry and blueberry flavors expand as the wine dances on the tongue. Polished tannins and refined acidity give body and structure to this harmonious rhythm of flavor.

Winemaker Notes
Coming to the blending table is one of our favorite things to do and blending sessions for the Night Watch are some of the most fulfilling. Like most of our wines, we age each varietal separately until the wines have come to their full potential while in the barrel. This year's Night Watch spent about 20 months in a mix of French, American, and Hungarian oak. American and French oak bring lovely, silky vanilla textures to the Zin and Syrah, while Hungarian oak offers characteristics of baker's spice which play perfectly with the big tannin in Petite Sirah.
