2020 Paris Valley Road Le Rouge

The 2020 Paris Valley Road Le Rouge takes its cue from Right Bank Bordeaux appellations on the east side of the Gironde estuary, where blends are markedly different. Benefitting from lively acidity geared for food pairings, the dominant cuvées of cabernet franc prevail. A proportion of merlot provides mid-palate length and velvety texture, while a touch of cabernet sauvignon accentuates color, body, and aromatics. Intricate tannins from the trio weave a core of strawberries, raspberries, and boysenberries with hints of red currant and cherries at the periphery. The signature tinge of bell peppers, bay leaves, and cloves appears on the quenching finish of a profile par excellence.
