2020 Paris Valley Road Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon
On the approach, the wine has an appealing garnet hue scented with dried roses and eucalyptus. Bright cherries, wild raspberries, and red currants are underscored by cherry ganache and tobacco box. Sinewy tannins combine with moderate acidity for a velvety texture. Subtle hints of anise, cloves, and peppercorns add spice to the persistent finish.

Winemaker Notes
We used grapes grown across several Paso Robles sub-AVAs to showcase versatility in our 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon. Blocks 6, 8, and 18 from our estate RBZ Vineyard in the El Pomar District bring fully ripe flavor. Block 1 from our Drake Vineyard in the Templeton Gap presents red fruit balance and acidity from the property’s cool climate and marine influence. We aged the wine for 18 months using 60% new French oak, a profile chosen to bring another layer of spice and complexity. An authentic single-varietal wine made of 100% cabernet, the 2020 vintage distinctly represents the core varietal of Paso Robles.
