2020 Paris Valley Road Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2020 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon calls to mind the notion of élevage, the French term for stewardship in winemaking. Let the vineyard and growing conditions shine through. Uphold meticulous vinification practices but allow varietal characteristics to flourish. Fine-tune the oak regimen as a deliberate means to an end. In other words, this wine is generous, stylish, and delicious. Fragrant cassis, violets, and forest floor are up front, with lavish cherries, plums, and boysenberries on the mid-palate. Well-seasoned tannins are instrumental to a full-bodied and velvety mouthfeel. The finish is lengthy, with lingering notes of cocoa, vanilla, and cedar.

Winemaker Notes
While we try our best to keep our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon composed of its namesake grape, the 2019 vintage called for an exception. The addition of Petit Verdot gives this Cab the right amount of depth in the profile, making this wine truly spectacular. Featuring select fruit from our RBZ Vineyards in Paso Robles, our Reserve Cab spent 18 months aging in 60% new French oak and received double gold recognition at the Central Coast and SF Chronicle wine competitions.
