2022 Estate Grenache Blanc
While the 2022 Grenache Blanc surely expresses bright notes of kiwis, mangoes, pears, and honeydew melons, it is prominently citrusy with respect to color, flavor, and zest. Lemon, lime, and grapefruit notes arrive promptly at a kinetic mid-palate. The finish, with lively acidity, exhibits a spirited zing, an ode to the juice of citrus, grapes, and vitality.

Winemaker Notes
Paso Robles tends to heat up, and we've searched long and hard for white varietals that can withstand the heat. Grenache Blanc has proven to be one of our favorite white varietals grown in our RBZ Vineyard in El Pomar. We always drop some fruit to the ground early in the growing season the help manage the crop load for the vine. At lower tonnage per acre, we find that the fruit ripens at a much more balanced rate and we don't lose the natural bright acidity before ripeness occurs. If we can calibrate conditions in the vineyard and make the right pick call, the rest falls into place! Lightly pressed, fermented cool, and aged in stainless steel for just four months, the 2022 Grenache Blanc boasts fresh fruit and a balanced profile driven by natural acidity. Enjoy!
