2022 Kamal Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Seamless and silky, the 2022 Kamal continues the tradition of a well-crafted Cabernet Sauvignon to anchor the Sextant Wines portfolio. Prominent black currants, cherries, and plums on the front-palate followed by cranberries, baking spices, and thyme. Limber tannins and engaging acidity deliver an elegant mouthfeel. Finishes gracefully with notes of cedar and mesquite meshing with accents of white pepper, black tea, and savory dried herbs.

Winemaker Notes
The 2022 Kamal is a blend of five different small-lot, high-quality cabernet sauvignon blocks, all hand-harvested from our estate RBZ Vineyard in Templeton. This wine is traditionally fermented in stainless steel before extended aging in French oak. This year, we blended in some estate merlot also from our RBZ Vineyard to add layers of elegance to the blend.
