The 2022 Wheelhouse opens with vibrant plum candy and wild strawberry aromas intertwined with delicate floral notes of honeysuckle and potpourri. Hints of clove and graham cracker add depth, making for a complex aromatic experience. Lively on the front palate, this flagship zinfandel showcases bright red and cranberry acidity that dances alongside dark cherry highlights. The mid-palate is smooth with slow-building tannins, finishing with notes of semi-sweet cocoa and ripe fig.

Winemaker Notes
Hand-picked from our RBZ Vineyard, our zinfandel is destemmed before fermenting on skins for a few weeks. Lightly pressed, we barrel the free run juice in a mix of new and used French, American, and Hungarian oak. We age the wine for 18 months before blending in a splash of petite sirah and syrah to add structure and complexity.
