2022 Genoa XXII
The Genoa XXII is a blended masterpiece of Zinfandel, Syrah, and Petite Sirah in a solera winemaking style. Dark, rich fig and blackberry aromas are complimented with baking spice characteristics including vanilla and brown sugar. Underlying black cherry pie filling and crème brûlée are unveiled as the wine opens in the glass. The wine’s palate starts with sensational sweet boysenberry that leads into juicy plum flavors that keep you captivated. This jewel finishes with big and round velvety tannins which make you reach for more. Perfectly balanced, this wine will age gracefully.

Winemaker Notes
A true time capsule, Genoa is one of the more unique blends we produce each year. The big tannin and natural acidity in Petite Sirah are perfect for extra aging, so we save two barrels of our Genoa blend each year and age them for 12 more months in oak to blend with the next vintage. This additional aging and cross vintage blending helps bring added complexity and continuity to each vintage. Genoa is perfectly prepped to open now or age for years to come.
